K.P.T.
As humans, we celebrate everything that makes us unique. What if everyone in the world was exactly the same? Unfortunately, if we do not work to save the biodiversity of ecosystems, it will soon be nonexistent. The biodiversity of numerous species across the globe is rapidly decreasing. For instance, the fish population is rapidly decreasing all over the world. As a result, there is less genetic diversity in the species. This is causing deformities in an increased number of fish and a decrease in the population as a whole. Data predicts that there will be almost no fish in the world’s oceans by the year 2050. The biodiversity of fish and trees is affected more than that of any other species. Today’s society relies heavily on both fish and trees, and their loss would be devastating not only to the worldwide ecosystem but to our lifestyle as well. Decreasing biodiversity is a problem plaguing numerous species, and is a worldwide issue.
